Model Releases Signed In Person With a QR Code

Hand your phone over or show a QR: the subject signs a proper model or property release on the spot, stored with the job.

A release that lives as a paper pad in your camera bag gets skipped on busy days, and the skipped one is always the image a brand wants to license later. Releases here work at the speed of the shoot: show a QR code and the subject scans it with their own phone to read and sign. Done before the next setup.

What release templates are included?

A model release, a property release and an image licence, written in plain English with the fill-in fields as simple boxes: date, location, names. Each one records the signature drawing, the signer's name and the timestamp, and produces a PDF you can hand to a licensing desk.

Why in-person signing instead of email?

Because the subject is standing in front of you. Email works for clients booking months out; a street portrait subject or an event guest signs now or never. In-person mode skips the email entirely and shows the signing screen immediately, on your device or theirs.

Signed releases file themselves against the shoot, so eighteen months later the licence question is a search, not an archaeology dig.

Frequently asked questions

Are e-signed releases legally solid?

Electronic signatures are recognised in UK and EU law, and each release stores the signature drawing with the signer's name and a timestamp. For high-value commercial licensing, confirm requirements with the licensor as you would with paper.

Does the subject need an email address?

Not for in-person signing. An address is optional so a copy can be sent to them, but the release is valid without it.
