Deposits in GBP, taken at the moment of booking
The deposit is taken through Stripe at the point a slot is booked, in GBP, with the balance invoiced separately — a date is held by a real payment rather than a promise to pay later. There's no dollar-to-pound conversion happening on the client's card statement.
Realistic UK travel buffers
Booking buffers can be set per service to account for real UK travel — the gap between a Saturday morning shoot in one town and an afternoon booking two towns over — so back-to-back slots aren't offered when the actual drive time makes that impossible.
