Your studio, in the window you live in
Lemon Link puts your whole studio in its own window on Mac and Windows, and writes alt text for your photos on your own computer. It loads the live studio, so it's always current.
The studio that follows you to the desk
A native window
Your studio lives in a real desktop window, always a click away — not another tab to dig out of the browser.
Alt text on your computer
A small AI model on your computer writes alt text for free. The photo never leaves your computer; only the text is uploaded.
Work from the tray
It picks up jobs queued for your computer with no window open, one photo at a time at low priority, and pauses on low battery.
Nothing to sync
It's the same data as the web app, not a second system. Changes appear both places; you never reconcile anything.
A window, local alt text, no second system
Install Lemon Link
The desktop app opens a native window onto your studio — the same data, no new login and no separate account.
Alt text, written locally
Photos that need alt text are described on your computer. Start a run from your phone if you're away, and you get a notification when it's done.
Publish from Lightroom
The Lightroom plugin 2.0 asks the desktop app for alt text as it publishes.
Ask Claude
The Claude panel connects Claude Code to your studio. Anything that writes waits for your yes.
Your studio in a window, alt text on your computer
Your studio in its own window on Mac and Windows. A small AI model on your computer writes alt text for your photos, and the tray picks up work queued for it with no window open.
- Your whole studio in a native window
- Alt text written on your computer, free
- The photo never leaves your computer; only the text is uploaded
One studio, not a copy of it
A separate desktop app with its own copy would mean two places to lose edits. This keeps exactly one set of data.
| How it stacks up | A separate desktop app — the usual way | lemon.gallery |
|---|---|---|
| Data | A second copy to sync | The same data, live |
| Up to date | As of its last sync | Always the live studio |
| Setup | New account, new import | Install and log in once |
| Conflicts | Edits fought in both places | Nothing to reconcile |

Questions, answered honestly
Just what the product actually does today.
Why a desktop app when there's a web app?
Because a computer can do work a browser tab can't. Lemon Link puts your studio in its own window on Mac and Windows, writes alt text for your photos with a small AI model on your own computer, and picks up work queued for it from the tray.
Does it need the window open?
No. It works from the tray, picking up jobs queued for your computer, such as alt text and your studio's Claude Code jobs if Claude Code is signed in. You can start an alt text run from your phone, and you get a notification when it's done.
Is it separate from the web app?
No, it's the same data. The window loads your live studio, so it's always current and there's no second system to keep in sync.
